Focus 2009: Concluded on a high note

FOCUS 2009: The 3rd Global Summit on Entertainment and Media ended on a high note with healthy participation from the media and entertainment industry.

With the scheduled sessions for the two-day event, ASSOCHAM garnered various issues that are needed to be taken forth to the government authorities addressed by the gathered media and entertainment fraternity, representing the different realms of the sector.

Issues related to technology, the operating ecosystem, deficit of honed skills, funding, requisite exposure, investments, among others were raised by the panellists at the sessions during the conference.

A major concern during all the sessions remained a healthy support from the government to move forward on the path of growth of the media and entertainment sector in the sub-continent. Though, during the second day of the conference it was pointed out that the representatives from the policy makers were missing from the scene.

To sum up the event received an active response from the industry and the managing body for ASSOCHAM assured that from here the focus of the organisation would be entirely to facilitate the growth process of the media and entertainment industry in India. Industry hopes for the best!
